About ICM

The Institute for Christian Ministries began in 1977 in Tacoma, Washington when Father Leo Thomas, OP, and other leaders developed a program that could provide people with a solid foundation for engaging in healing ministry. ICM became incorporated under the laws of Washington state in 1979.

From that small beginning, ICM evolved into a four-semester training course for the formation of ministers of religious healing. To date, thousands of people have taken the program, numbers that grow as FHM locations multiply. A number of groups throughout North America and overseas now offer this program in their own faith community.
